SUPPORT OUR WORK

The New Old Time Chautauqua is an entirely volunteer-run group, so all contributions go directly towards program costs.

We operate on volunteer energy to bring our performances, educational workshops and community outreach to rural communities, as well as to residents of prisons, senior centers and other settings where people may have limited access to such events. While on the road, we camp to keep costs down, we cook all our own food in our portable field kitchen, and reduce, reuse and recycle avidly.

Our funding comes from ticket sales, donations and grants. However, our friends and audiences are our primary source of support. You have seen us, you know who we are and like what we do. Your financial support is essential for us to carry out our work and provides us with crucial encouragement to hit the road.

Any amount is valuable to us,
from  $5  to $500 to  $25,000  -  or more.

Please consider making a contribution to help us further our mission of strengthening communities through laughter and creativity.

The New Old Time Chautauqua is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization.  All contributions are tax deductible and will be acknowledged with a letter for your tax files.

Community and individual donations are extremely important to us. If your employer offers an employee contribution-matching program, we would be happy to participate.

$ 100 will supply juggling balls for our workshops - including small quantities to leave at each detention facility and other community locations.
$ 200 covers the cost of fabric, trim & notions for colorful banners we use in parades and to decorate stages or other performance areas.
$ 250 will buy one new tire for our bus.
$ 350 pays for nutritious food for 50 people for one day on the road.
$ 500 covers our telephone, Internet and most administrative costs for a year.
$ 1,000 pays for one year of liability and accident insurance.
$ 5,000 covers all expenses to bring a 3-day residency, with all the bells and whistles, to a rural or under-served community.
$25,000 An average Summer Tour.
This pays for transportation, food, camping, and program costs for 50 volunteers to travel 2,500 miles for 3 weeks. We visit 3 to 5 cities or towns - presenting shows, workshops, parades and community service events.
